1. Statutory Status, Corporate Ownership, & Contractual Inception
1.1 Electronic Record Mandate
This document constitutes an un-signed digital contract and electronic record generated by an automated computing system. It is published and distributed in accordance with the mandatory provisions of Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011, which require the explicit publication of structural rules, data regulations, user privacy terms, and operating terms of use for accessing, browsing, and executing commercial transactions on the primary web directory www.thechairhouse.in (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).
1.2 Proprietary Entities & Domain Management
The operational domain name, database structures, interface styling, and logistical tracking frameworks are owned and managed by The Chair House (under the structural parent corporate entity Lumsa Decor Private Limited, operating past affiliations with The House of Things), maintaining its centralized physical logistics, administrative headquarters, and grievance cells at Gala No. 16, Adarsh Market, 2nd Lane, 90 Feet Rd, Saki Naka, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400072.
1.3 Immutable Deemed Acceptance
By accessing, scraping, indexing, creating an account node, caching, or executing any commercial purchase of our premium BIFMA-certified ergonomic seating solutions, you (the “User” or “Buyer”) establish a binding legal contract with the Company. These Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy, Warranty Framework, and Refund Policy, constitute your binding obligations. If you do not accept these parameters in full, you must terminate your network connection to this platform immediately.
2. Membership Eligibility, Identity Verification, & Account Restrictions
2.1 Capacity to Contract
Platform usage, commercial inquiries, and checkout functionality are restricted to natural persons or certified corporate entities who possess the full legal capacity to enter into binding legal agreements under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- Persons classified as legally incompetent to contract—including minors under the age of 18, un-discharged insolvents, or court-restricted entities—are completely barred from registering or initiating automated checkouts.
- Minors wishing to purchase furniture assets must have their transactions executed by a verified parent or legal guardian under an adult account setup.
- The Company retains the unilateral right to suspend accounts or terminate access if it is discovered that a transaction was initiated by an unauthorized minor.
2.2 Unified Account Governance & Password Security
To unlock enterprise tracking tools, invoice histories, and warranty claims, users must build an operational Account (“Account”).

- Exclusivity: A single legal entity or natural user may maintain exactly one (1) active account. Any secondary profiles or duplicate accounts will be terminated instantly without prior written warning.
- Liability Cap on Credentials: The User assumes exclusive personal and financial liability for any data transmissions, order bookings, or financial obligations incurred via their unique login information, whether or not such actions were explicitly authorized by the account holder.
- Competitor Exclusion Clause: By registering, you warrant that you are not an employee, structural agent, shadow developer, or direct market competitor of The Chair House.
3. Intellectual Property Rights & Navigation Restrictions
3.1 Proprietary Data Assets
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all material hosted on this site—including but not limited to the structural design patterns of our ergonomic chairs, kinematic synchro-tilt platform mechanical drawings, BIFMA-certified testing reports, professional product photography, 3D assets, typography layout, copywriting metrics, and proprietary HTML/CSS system code—remains the exclusive property of The Chair House.
3.2 Prohibited Automated and Manual Actions
Subject to compliance with these terms, the brand grants a revocable, non-transferable, personal, and limited privilege to navigate and use the site for personal, non-commercial retail purchasing. Any behavior outside this limited scope triggers immediate termination of your platform permissions. You explicitly agree, confirm, and promise that you shall not:
- Deploy automatic indexing devices, including
deep-links,page-scrapes,robots,spiders, or high-velocity scripts, to monitor, replicate, mirror, or harvest site content for commercial purposes. - Probe, trace, reverse-engineer, scan, or analyze the data pipelines or network vulnerability of our hosting architecture, nor search for data profiles belonging to other system users.
- Take any platform action that imposes an unreasonable, disproportionately heavy load on our web servers, network switches, or integrated Razorpay gateway frameworks.
4. Technical Accuracy: Product Data, Pricing, & Color Parameters
4.1 Structural Color and Material Variance Tolerances
We make every engineering effort to accurately display the structural parameters, mechanical adjustments, mesh density configurations, and color schemes of our premium seating lines. However, because digital display matrices (such as IPS, AMOLED, and sRGB color profiles on laptops and mobile monitors) vary drastically, The Chair House does not guarantee that the exact color hue, texture patterns of genuine leather, or mesh color of your delivered item will match your electronic screen perfectly. All delivered items fall within acceptable industrial engineering guidelines.
4.2 Typographical Database Errors & Systemic Cancellations
All consumer prices are stated strictly in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable statutory levies (GST) unless separated on a corporate B2B invoice. In the rare event that an pricing anomaly occurs—whether caused by an API sync malfunction, typographical input error from our fulfillment team, or database corruption—The Chair House reserves the absolute right to cancel your transaction, even if an electronic order confirmation notice has dropped or funds have left your bank account. If your bank account or card has been debited, our gateway will trigger a 100% immediate full refund back to your original source.
5. Reverse Logistics, Returns, & The Buyer Protection Program
Because premium seating assemblies are highly fragile, heavy, and extremely susceptible to internal mechanical degradation or cosmetic tearing during reverse shipping loops, all standard product return requests are managed through strict engineering guidelines:
5.1 Standard Return Eligibility Window
A consumer may submit a return or replacement ticket within 7 calendar days from the official timestamped date of delivery recorded by our logistics handlers. To pass our physical warehouse verification checks, the product must be completely unassembled, unused, unmarred by tool scratch marks, and safely secured inside its original structural packaging box along with all protective styrofoam layers, hardware packs, and manuals. Fully built or deployed chairs are non-returnable.
5.2 Transit Damage Protocol & DOA Verification
If an item arrives with broken mechanisms, physical cracks, or torn fabric caused during transit, you must notify our customer support network within 48 hours of delivery.
- Mandatory Technical Proof: The user must upload a clear, unedited unboxing video showing the damaged outer shipping container and the specific compromised component.
- Corrective Resolution: Once our technical evaluation panel approves the video data, we will ship out factory-certified replacement components or dispatch an engineering technician to fix or swap out the unit at no added cost.
5.3 Buyer Protection Limits & Misuse Penalties
- Restocking Adjustments: Discretionary returns (changing your mind, sizing mistakes, color updates) are subject to actual double-way reverse logistics freight deductions. No hidden restocking fees apply.
- Volume Limitations: Users are capped at a maximum of 5 return/refund inquiries per calendar year, up to an aggregate transaction limit of ₹50,000.
- Anti-Fraud Clause: If an account is suspected of filing false or malicious damage claims, or exploiting chargebacks, the brand will preserve evidence to initiate civil and criminal proceedings under the Information Technology Act and Indian Penal Code for fraud.
6. Financial Settlement Architecture & Payment Processor Surcharges
6.1 Payment Gateways & Liability Caps
The platform leverages an integrated, end-to-end encrypted third-party processor (Razorpay) to manage online transactions. The brand assumes no direct structural liability for processing failures, network drops, bank timeouts, or card authorization rejections.
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
| PAYMENT CLEARDOWN TIMELINE EXPECTANCIES |
+--------------------------+--------------------------------------------------------------+
| SETTLEMENT NODE | LIFECYCLE EXPECTANCY STATUS |
+--------------------------+--------------------------------------------------------------+
| UPI (GPay/PhonePe/Paytm) | • Clears and updates within 24 to 48 hours |

| Credit & Debit Cards | • Requires 5 to 7 operational working business days |

+--------------------------+--------------------------------------------------------------+

+--------------------------+--------------------------------------------------------------+
6.2 Deactivated Payout Source Protocol
If your original payment channel (such as an expired credit card, frozen checking account, or deactivated virtual payment address) is inactive when a refund drops, the automated transaction will fail and return to our corporate ledger. To process a manual override, you must provide a cancelled cheque or an official bank statement matching the exact legal name listed on the original transaction invoice. We will then process a direct manual NEFT/IMPS bank transfer to your active account.
7. Absolute Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability Ceilings
7.1 “As-Is” Operating Framework
This website, all integrated operational modules, metadata configurations, user accounts, and physical seating products distributed via our portal are delivered strictly on an “As Is” and “As Available” operational basis, free of any express or implied representations unless explicitly guaranteed within our structural product warranty text.
7.2 Liability Caps & Tort Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable national consumer protection frameworks, under no circumstances—including breach of contract, tort negligence, or strict product liability—shall The Chair House, its corporate parents, logistics affiliates, board directors, or operational staff be liable for any indirect, special, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages. This includes losses such as commercial profit drops, workspace operational downtime, data corruption, or the cost of sourcing substitute office furniture. Our aggregate combined financial liability for any single dispute is limited to the exact amount paid for the specific asset under dispute.
🏛️ Legal Jurisdictions & Statutory Grievance Redressal
These terms and conditions shall be governed, managed, and interpreted strictly according to the corporate laws of the Republic of India. Any civil disputes, statutory adjustments, or legal actions linked to this network framework must be filed within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Rajasthan, India (or Mumbai, Maharashtra where core logistics operations are physically managed).
Statutory Grievance Redressal Officer
In absolute alignment with the statutory mandates of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, any systemic operational bottlenecks, data complaints, payment gateway delays, or policy inquiries can be scaled to our compliance officer:
